LIEUTENANT COLONEL SAGAR SINGH SALARIA, who was commanding 23 PUNJAB at Panjgam in J&K in 1996.His son 2nd LIEUTENANT GURDEEP SINGH SALARIA serving under his command has immortalized at Panjgam.Afterwards his daughter got married to an officer of 23 PUNJAB.Lieutenant Colonel Sagar Singh Salaria completed 26 years sans his unit officer & son 2nd LIEUTENANT GURDEEP SINGH SALARIA.Moved to Tears seeing this pic of COLONEL SAGAR SINGH SALARIA,the father holding both the bullet which his son-2nd LIEUTENANT GURDEEP SINGH SALARIA received in his chest & Shaurya Chakra which He received on behalf of his Son colonel SAGAR SINGH SALARIA was commanding 23 PUNJAB at Panjgam, J&K in 1996 when his son 2nd LIEUTENANT GURDEEP SINGH SALARIA serving under his command immortalized himself fighting terrorists.Cremating his son,Col SagarSingh Salaria searched in the ashes&found the bullet Its always difficult to immortalize oneself but its more difficult to lose your son under your command.
