Infantry Day Celebrations in India

 

On October 27, 2024, India commemorated the 78th Infantry Day, marking the historical airlift of Indian Army's first infantry soldiers into Srinagar in 1947 during the conflict over Jammu and Kashmir. This day was celebrated with tributes from high-ranking officials including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who praised the infantry's courage, valour, and sacrifices. The celebrations highlighted the infantry's role not only in past conflicts but also in ongoing national security efforts. Various posts and tributes across the nation expressed gratitude and respect for the infantry's continuous commitment to safeguarding the country under challenging conditions, emphasizing their legacy of strength and duty.

लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल स्वाई भवानी सिंह (IC-9015) पैराशूट रेजिमेंट। (पुरस्कार की प्रभावी तिथि- 5 दिसंबर 1971) पाकिस्तान में सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक इस दिन 1971 में 10 पैरा एसएफ के कमांडो ने पाकिस्तानी क्षेत्र चाचरो में बहुत अंदर तक जाकर साहसिक हमला किया! पैरा कमांडो का नेतृत्व ब्रिगेडियर एच.एच. महाराजा सवाई भवानी सिंह महावीर चक्र कर रहे थे। हमले के दौरान भारतीय सेना को कोई नुकसान नहीं हुआ! पाकिस्तान की सीमा में सैकड़ों किलोमीटर दूर रतक र दुश्मन के हौसले पस्त कर देने और कई शहरों को कब्जे में कर लेने के बाद छुट्टी मनाने जब जयपुर के पूर्व नरेश सवाई भवानीसिंह जयपुर लौटे तो सारा शहर उन्हें धन्यवाद देने खड़ा हो गया था।उस दोपहर सांगानेर हाई अड्डे से आमेर तक का सफर तय करने में इन्हें आधे दिन से ज्यादा समय लग गया। पहुंचने पर पहला काम इन्हें शिल्कदेवी के मंदिर में धन्य-प्रार्थना कर आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करना था, जैमा कड़वाहा शासकों की परम्परा रही है। ने जब लेफ्टिनेन्ट कर्नत के पर पर थे। वर्ष 1971 में भारत ने पूर्वी पाकिस्तान (आज के बांगलादेश) को स्वतंत्र होने में अभूतपूर्व सैन्य सहायता प्रदान कर विश्व को चौंका दि...
